Dear Juarez Parents and Scholars,

On behalf of our entire Juarez School staff, it is our pleasure to welcome you and your family to a new school year!  We are extremely excited about this school year and all of the opportunities that lie before us. As the Common Core standards and digital citizenship era in education continues to evolve, Juarez School recognizes the need to not only prepare our scholars academically but to also ensure that they are equipped with the necessary skills to compete in a highly competitive global society.

To ensure the success of each one of our scholars, our staff is committed to on-going professional development that will enable us to utilize relevant, current, and research based instructional practices. We are excited to continue our focus on teaching Common Core Standards, digital literacy through age-appropriate technology integrated lessons, as well as providing daily opportunities for students to develop their communication, creativity  collaboration  critical thinking, and global citizenship skills. In additional to these 21st Century learning skills, our staff is committed to developing our scholars’ appreciation for cultural diversity through second language learning within our Dual Language Immersion program and through relevant visual and performing arts lessons that will enable all of our scholars to better understand the accomplishments of others across the globe.

As a professional learning community, we embrace the challenges of the future while cherishing and celebrating the traditions of the past. We pledge to you, our scholars and parents, that this will be a wonderful year of engaging, meaningful, and rigorous work in our classrooms, along with some fun-filled family events throughout the year. We know that achieving these goals cannot be done without your support. Hence, we look forward to a  continued home-school partnership with our returning families and hope to meet and welcome all of our new families to our Juarez learning community.

As always, we welcome your questions, comments, and feedback. So please do not hesitate to contact us by calling the school office, emailing us, or stopping by the front office.
